What!? You want more traffic for your website!? NO WAY! 🙂
Here are three ways I have see work using links back to your site. These are not your traditional link-backs, but I have seen the results and they are worth implementing!
- If you have a help desk every email that gets sent out to people needing help should have your website URL in the signature! This may sound kind of low impact, but you wouldn’t believe what people won’t look for them selves. They want you to do everything for them. So if they can’t remember the name of your site they are either going to give up completely or enter it into a google search and possibly get distracted. If you put it right in the signature of your reply they will have it handy. With so much competition out there you want your URL to be right there in front of them.
- Forum posts. I highly recommend becoming involved in a forum in your industry to drive interest, and build trust. Usually after a certain number of posts on a forum you will be allowed to create a unique signature. You MUST put your URL into this signature. And don’t just make a link with HTML and have your company name. Put your full URL including, “http://www.” and then link that. This has gotten me more traffic than any other method over my years of working for online entrepreneurs.
- If you have a YouTube channel you need to put your full URL in the description of your videos. Preferably the very first line so it will still show up even if people don’t open the description area all the way.
