If you’ve dabbled in the content marketing to social media traffic strategy you know how hard it can be to get your latest articles out to all of your social media outlets. Writing the article for your blog is time consuming enough. Then to think about logging in to all of your social media outlets to put a status update or tweet about your new post is enough to make even a non-procrastinator procrastinate the task.

If you have a blog, and you write articles for it and you aren’t letting all of your social media outlets know, you’re missing out on major traffic my friend!

I have used a couple social media auto-posters (for wordpress) in my day. They are not all created equally.

What you want to look for is a social media autoposter plugin (for wordpress) that needs you to create an app in your social media account to connect to.

You will be tempted to use one that doesn’t require this – but let me tell you, it is 100% worth it and it is not that hard. You can do it, I promise!

My latest favorite social media aggregate for wordpress is Microblog Poster.

Here’s a link to their site:

While it is not the most robust in how many social media outlets it supports, it does require API keys (which you create when you make your app in each social media outlet you post to) and that is KEY!

To set up you just have to install the plugin, activate it and then set out creating the apps in each social media you want to post to.

There is another social media auto-poster that is not my favorite, but is probably alright. 🙂 It’s called Next Scripts. I am only telling you this because they have detailed instructions on how to set up your apps and then plug in the necessary info into your social media aggregate plugin. (These same instructions will work for Microblog Poster as well!)

Here’s a link to their instructions:

Now that you know how to automagically push your wordpress posts to your social media writing all that content won’t seem like such a drag!

Have fun!
